This is my 7th year at Anchorage and my 13th year in education. I currently hold two certifications as a Rank1, K-5 Regular Education Teacher and K-12 Special Education Teacher. I have a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, a Masters of Arts in Teaching, Elementary, and a Masters of Education, Learning and Behavior Disorders, all from Bellarmine University. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, Brian Elder, and we have an amazing son, Aiden. If I’m not at school, you can usually find me on the field cheering on Aiden or exploring the outdoors and enjoying mother nature. I absolutely love being a teacher and I’m so thankful for each relationship I get to build with each of my students.

I am originally from Lexington, Kentucky.  I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and received my Master of Education from Indiana Wesleyan in 2008. I have a passion for teaching and love to engage students in learning. I am married to Anthony and have two boys (Caiden and Chance). In my free time, I love to cook, be outside, cheer on the Wildcats, and read! I am excited to be a teacher here in Anchorage and a part of this amazing community!
