Welcome to Fourth Grade!

Melissa Durham

My name is Melissa Durham, and I am a Louisville native. I received my undergraduate degree at UNC Charlotte, with a double major in Elementary Education and Visual Arts. After graduation, I moved back home to marry my husband, Trevor, and began my teaching career in 2006. Next, I earned a Master's Degree from the University of Louisville in Literacy and secured my National Board Certification in Literacy thereafter.

Trevor and I have been blessed with 3 children; Hayden, Hailey, and Henry. My passion for teaching began in 3rd grade and has not wavered since. I'm so happy to be a part of such a wonderful school as I continue to do what I love!

Sherri Hafling

Hello, I am Sherri Hafling.  I graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington in Education with a minor in Special Education, and earned my Masters in Education at IU Southeast.  I taught in Indiana for several years and then came to Anchorage in 2000.  I´ve taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4^th grade at Anchorage. I have coached basketball and cheerleading, worked at many camps, and been involved in other areas at Anchorage School.  I truly love teaching and being part of this community. I am excited about being back in 4^th grade.
