Welcome to 2nd Grade!

Ms. Hall and Ms. Flannery are excited about teaching your children this year! It is a tremendous responsibility and honor. We have high expectations and strive to inspire all children to develop a love of learning by creating a learning environment that fosters success and happiness for all children.  

Mrs. Hall has been teaching at Anchorage for over 25 years. She grew up in Louisville and lives in the Highlands with her husband, Buck. She enjoys spending time with her children, Caitlin and David, and their families. Her hobbies include tennis, reading, traveling, and trying new restaurants. 

Education - University of Louisville (Bachelor of Science and a Master's Degree in Counseling), Indiana Wesleyan University (Rank 1 in Education)

Alex Flannery has been teaching since 2010. She has experience in kindergarten, first, third, second and fourth grades. Alex attended Murray State University for her undergraduate degree and the University of Louisville for her graduate degree. She has obtained her Rank I in the Science of Reading and is trained in LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) and UFLI (University of Florida Literacy Institute).

She enjoys spending time with her husband, Todd, her son Finn and her Goldendoodle, Lucy. Her hobbies include cooking and trying new recipes, going to the beach, enjoying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
