Erin Bixler

I am Erin Bixler and was born and raised here in Louisville. I received my undergraduate degree at Bellarmine College, with a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education of Learning and Behavior Disorders. I married my college sweetheart, Brad, and began my teaching in 2000 for Jefferson County Public Schools. I earned a Master's Degree from the University of Indiana in Elementary Education and finally added my National Board Certification in Literacy. After 17 years with JCPS, I joined the Anchors and have loved my time here.

I am excited about starting my 14th year of teaching. This is my 12th year at Anchorage, and I am thrilled to be teaching third grade once again. My favorite subject to teach is social studies. Third grade is the best!
