Chair, Andrew O'Brien
I am a proud kindergarten through 8th grade Anchorage School alumni, with two children currently enrolled at Anchorage, soon to be three. I have lifelong ties to Anchorage and given all that this school and neighborhood have done for me, I look forward to giving back to this amazing community and ensuring that Anchorage continues to prosper for generations to come.
Exceptional education is the priority, but we also need to establish a culture that values individuals, hard work, and creativity. We must hold ourselves to a higher standard, from our students, teachers, administration, resources, facilities, and community engagement. I will work to preserve Anchorage as we know and love it by continuing to cultivate an unrivaled, welcoming, and fun educational environment where all students can flourish.
After Anchorage, I graduated from Kentucky Country Day and then Southern Methodist University. Professionally, I am a Partner at a commercial real estate investment firm and manage myriad other family investments and ventures.
I look forward to serving you, our children, and our incredible community!

Member, Kayce Deutsch
My name is Kayce Ware Deutsch and I'm honored to serve on your AISD School Board. I'm also a proud Anchorage graduate and long time resident-living most of my life in the area. My husband and I were excited to rejoin the community in 2021 as our children approached school age-Delaney now a third grader, Ben in kindergarten, and Stella in preschool excitedly awaiting joining her siblings in the fall of 2025.
After attending Anchorage K-8, I went on to graduate from Christian Academy of Louisville, then the University of Kentucky. Following my undergraduate studies in elementary education, I immediately followed my passion for public education into masters degrees; first in teaching reading, and then one specializing in teaching gifted learners. My desire to serve gifted learners led to becoming adjunct faculty at Indiana University Southeast, instructing graduate courses to fellow teachers interested in the field.
While I enjoyed my years teaching in the classroom, twelve of my seventeen years teaching have been in the gifted setting. I currently teach gifted learners across multiple elementary schools in Bullitt County's public school district. I look forward to bringing my professional expertise and experiences to the board to keep in perspective our goals-maximizing potential, providing engaging instruction, and partnering with our community.

Member, Nancy Lynne Walters
Nancy Lynne attended Anchorage Public School K-8th grades, graduated from Ballard High School, and earned a BA in Journalism and Public Affairs and Environmental Science from Indiana University-Bloomington.
Following college, she spent nearly 20 years in media working as a television network news researcher, local reporter, and local news anchor. Currently she works for a small biotech company in the neuroscience division. For fun, she’s a voice actor — and records local, regional, and national commercials, jingles, e-learning projects and books.
Nancy Lynne has been very involved at Anchorage School and in the Anchorage Community as a volunteer in many capacities for the past 17 years.
She served as Co-President of Anchorage Children’s Theatre 2017-2024, Owl Creek Country Club Board of Directors (Membership Chairman and Secretary) 2014-2017, and Anchorage Civic Club Board of Directors 2011-2014.
Before that, you could find her volunteering wherever there was a need - in the classroom, for the swim team or making costumes for ACT.
Nancy Lynne is thrilled and honored to serve on the AISD School Board.
