Meet Our Admin Team

  •

    Principal Andrew Terry

Andrew Terry is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and a master's in education. He received his principal certification from the University Indiana Southeast. Andrew has taught Spanish, been an associate principal, and now serves as the principal at one of the top-performing schools in the state.

    Assistant Principal Kelly Haile

Our assistant principal, Kelly Haile, began her career  in 1991 as a middle school English/Language Arts teacher. Before putting down an anchor at Anchorage Public School, she wore many hats - middle school English/Language Arts teacher, resource teacher, instructional coach, building assessment coordinator, special programs coordinator and assistant principal - working with the students and staff of Henderson County Schools and Jefferson County Public Schools.  Joining the team at Anchorage in 2019 and becoming a part of the rich history of this school district is more than a job to Kelly - it is an honor.

Kelly has found Anchorage students to be enthusiastic learners, their parents to be deeply invested in their children’s education and the Anchorage community to be welcoming and generous.  Collaborating with the exemplary teachers, support staff and leadership team at Anchorage makes this “job” a JOY for her.

Kelly is married to her high school sweetheart and has two sons; this family is her greatest blessing. She enjoys spending time with friends, attending sporting events, reading books, listening to podcasts and exploring - near and far.  Adventures are consistently recorded with a camera or journal.  It is highly unlikely to catch Kelly without a pen and paper nearby … ready to make a list or plan of action!
